This short film explores non-narratively the city of Bucharest, my hometown. The aesthetic of the film shows characteristics of the eastern and western society that have influenced my cultural identity.

The images and their extreme processing and layering follow a similar process to music production. The horizontal plane (time, from beginning to end) is used to expose characteristics of movement, depth, density, focus and colour by interpolating images that contain abstract representations of those characteristics. The vertical plane – image plus sound relationships, focus the attention to specific qualities. For example, the opening scene is made out of layers of shots and accompanied by layers of female vocals.
