Paria Goodarzi is an Iranian artist and political refugee living in Glasgow. She was involved in the 2008 protests against the election results in Iran which got her blacklisted and banned from returning to her home country. The documentary explores Paria’s personal story and illustrate how someone that is undesirable in one political regime can strive in another. Paria holds close Iranian symbols and colours from her home country and uses them in her work, in order to showcase a different view on Iran. Her desire to do so is even more applaudable given her complex life story and difficulties she encountered there.
